Just A Boy

"I love my world. Please help my world. Don't make my future be my past"

Just A Boy: In this song, we sing for animals that are on the endangered list. There are only two Northern White Rhinos remaining: A mother and her daughter. Elephants are also endangered.

lyrics

Intro:

Just a boy asking questions,

Just a boy who wonders why.

Verse 1:

Where have all the rhinos gone?

The black and the white?

Did we hunt them for their horn?

Never gonna make it right

Only one white rhino

When her mother’s gone

Only one white rhino

Will be here all alone.

Chorus

I’m just a boy

Living in the shadow

Of a world

That’s fading all too fast

Her me call

To those of you who should know

Is my future already past?

Verse 2

Soon will all the elephants go

Herds already lost

Why do we need their ivory?

Who will count the cost?

Will they fade into story

That I tell my child?

Once there were elephants

That lived in the wild

Chorus

Middle 8

Just a boy asking questions

Just a boy who will not cry

Just a boy needing answers

Just a boy who’s asking why (repeat)

Chorus

I’m just a boy

Living in the shadow

Of a world that’s fading all too fast

Hear me call

To those of you who should know

I love my world

Please help my world

Don’t make my future be my past.

Verse 2

Herds already lost

Why do we need their ivory?

Who will count the cost?

Will they fade into story

That I tell my child?

Once there were elephants

That lived in the wild

I’m just a boy
